MÉTAMORPHOSE

This collection was inspired by my own journey from the corporate world to textile design. My aim was to reflect on different stages of my personal development by using different fabrics, silhouettes, and tailoring techniques. I also wanted to emphasize the contrast between the strict nature of the corporate world and the sense of freedom I feel when designing. To achieve this, I mixed different innovative pattern cutting techniques with classic tailoring methods. The final pieces include a broad-shouldered vest with a subtraction cutting element, referring to business wear and a hand-embroidered white tulle jumpsuit with voluminous sleeves also made using the subtraction cutting technique.
